Good Dental Habits Support Oral Health

Dental hygiene plays an important role in maintaining your oral health. Dr. Brad A. Walker and his team of dental professionals can help you learn to maintain oral health and as such, we encourage you to practice good dental habits.

Dr. Walker and the W Dentistry team will work diligently to help you improve your oral health. Your consistent dental hygiene can help ensure your ongoing oral health. Good dental hygiene includes daily habits and practices that help you to keep your smile healthy and bright.

Dr. Walker recommends that you follow these basic steps to maintain good dental hygiene:

  • Brush your teeth after each meal or at least twice a day.
  • We encourage you to use a soft-bristled toothbrush and toothpaste.
  • Floss once every day. The most important time to floss is just before you go to sleep at night.
  • Eat a balanced diet.
  • Limit your intake of sugary and acidic foods to prevent tooth decay.
  • Maintain regular visits with Dr. Walker every six months, or as recommended.

During your regular dentist visits, we will provide a professional teeth cleaning and dental exam to make certain we identify and provide any needed preventive or restorative treatments. We will also discuss your dental hygiene habits with you and offer any needed information on steps you can take to further improve your oral health.
